Aluminium 1100 is a commercially pure grade, consisting of over 99% aluminium. This composition gives the hex bars a great combination of properties, including excellent corrosion resistance, high thermal and electrical conductivity, and impressive workability. While they are not heat-treatable for higher strength, they offer good formability and can be easily welded and brazed, making them a practical choice for many non-structural applications.
